Marietta man arrested for DUI after leaving the scene of crash on I-75 in GordonCounty

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Saturday, February 11th, 2023, at 12:30 AM, Deputy Carnes was dispatched to the area of Interstate 75 around mile marker 312 northbound in reference to a traffic crash. Gordon County E-911 advised deputies that the red car had left the scene. Deputy Ralston was eventually able to stop the car that had left the scene. Deputy Carnes relocated to Deputy Ralston’s traffic stop and met with the driver, Bryan Omar Comeaux, 27, of Marietta, who was detained in the back of the patrol car. According to the report, Deputy Carnes shined his flashlight at Bryan and could see that his eyes were bloodshot and watery, and when he spoke, his speech was slurred. Deputy Carnes read Bryan his Miranda warning to see if he would submit to Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, and he said no. Deputy Carnes then read Bryan Implied Consent for persons over the age of 21. Bryan told Deputy Carnes that he did not want to submit to state testing. Bryan was then transported to the Gordon County Jail and charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane, and hit and run.
