Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports: February 20, Sheriff’s detectives received a report of a minor having been sexually abused. An investigation was initiated wherein witness interviews were conducted and electronic evidence was gathered. The investigation quickly focused on Cody Lee Whitfield, age 35, of Room 122 Executive Inn, Calhoun. Whitfield was picked up for questioning, then arrested and charged with Statutory Rape, and Incest. Whitfield is being held in the county jail pending bond.
