Dalton couple arrested for violently molesting child while strung out on drugs in Whitfield County

According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s office incident report, On December 9th, 2023, at 3:50 p.m., Deputy Singleton was dispatched to 805 Professional Boulevard regarding possible child abuse that had occurred somewhere on Lawson Avenue. Deputy Singleton spoke with the caller, who advised that she had called for her daughter, Patricia Lee Sandoval, 27, of Dalton. According to the report, “Deputy Singleton then began to speak with Sandoval about the incident, and she provided the following information. Patricia advised Deputy Singleton that she is currently working on separating from her husband, Leeroy Sandoval, 36, of Dalton. Patricia states that two of them had been strung out on cocaine, and sometime before Thanksgiving, Leeroy got Patricia intoxicated and convinced her to violently molest the small Juvenile 1 with him. Patricia advised that after this had happened, Leeroy is now blackmailing her into staying with him.” Deputy Singleton, knowing the seriousness of the situation, called CID and Contacted on call DFACS. While waiting for a Detective and DFACS to arrive, Patricia spoke up about how Leeroy attacked her while she was trying to leave. Deputy Singleton did see a picture of Patricia where she had a black eye. Deputy Singleton also observed Patricia’s arm and did see an obvious bruise on her right elbow. Patricia also advised that on the day that Leeroy attacked her, all her children saw it happen. Deputy Singleton turned the case over to a detective and DFACS for further investigations. Patricia was arrested and booked into the Whitfield County Jail, charged with aggravated child molestation, child molestation, aggravated sodomy against will or person under 10 YOA, and aggravated sexual battery. A warrant for Leeroy for aggravated child molestation, child molestation, aggravated sodomy against will or person under 10 YOA, and aggravated sexual battery were issued for his arrest. Leeroy, who is a documented gang member, was arrested on Christmas Eve by the Calhoun Emergency Services Unit after he decided he would hide out in Calhoun. Chief T. Pyle stated, “A special thanks to these team members who left their families on Christmas Eve to get this man off the streets of Calhoun, GA.”
