Chatsworth man arrested for DUI after passing in no passing zone and failing to maintain lane

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident On June 18th, 2023, at 9:31 PM, Deputy Ralston was on routine patrol in the area of Highway 225 at McDaniel Road when he observed a 2014 black Honda Accord pass another vehicle at McDaniel Road in a no passing zone then proceeded to fail to maintain lane several times going into oncoming traffic. Deputy Ralston then initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at Greeson Loop and made contact with the driver Treyquan Jerome Jacob Jackson, 24, of Chatsworth. According to the report, “Deputy Ralston immediately smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Jackson’s person while he was speaking to him. Jackson stated he was heading home to Chatsworth, GA, from his dad’s house in Calhoun. Jackson’s eyes were bloodshot, and his speech was normal.” During standardized Field Sobriety exercises, Jackson showed several signs of impairment and a BAC of .09 on a PBT. Jackson refused the state test and was booked into the Gordon County Jail, charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane, and passing in no passing zone.
