Rome man found in possession of meth and 11 stolen guns during search warrant in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, On June 20th, 2023, Paden Elliott Brownlow, 35, of Rome, was arrested after warrants said he was found with 11 rifles and shotguns that had been reported stolen. The theft occurred on Huffaker Road on June 5th. Through a Floyd County Police investigation, they identified Brownlow with the help of the victim. Brownlow told police that he had purchased the stolen guns in early June for $1,300. However, several of the guns still had the original price tags on them. One of the stolen guns was priced higher than Brownlow paid for all of the weapons. During the search warrant, a total of 30 firearms, three of which had their serial number removed, were found in Brownlow’s possession. FCPD added that they also located a large amount of meth individually wrapped for resale and a digital scale. Brownlow was booked into the Floyd County Jail, charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property x11, felony theft by receiving stolen property from another state x11, possession of meth with intent to distribute, felony possession of a firearm while committing a crime x30, possession of a sawed-off shotgun and criminal use of an article with an altered identification mark.
