Calhoun man arrested for DUI after being stopped in Gordon County

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Sunday, June 18th, 2023, at 12:45 hours, Deputy Jinwright stopped a vehicle on GA-3 at Beasley Street because of the vehicle pulled out in front of him. Deputy Jinwright made contact with the driver Nestor Jesus Hernandez, 22, of Calhoun. According to the report, “Deputy Jinwright detected an odor of alcoholic beverage on the breath of Hernandez. Deputy Jinwright asked Hernandez if he had consumed any alcoholic beverages and he said that he only had some margarita cocktails. During field sobriety testing, Hernandez showed several signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DUI. Hernandez agreed to the state test and was booked into the Gordon County Jail, where he was charged with open container and DUI.
