Calhoun woman assaults boyfriend and sets his clothes on fire after finding porn on his computer

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On June 1st, 2023, at 5:24 AM, Deputy Bingiel and Deputy Martin responded to an address on Moss Creek Drive in reference to a physical domestic in progress. Sergeant Garcia arrived on scene at the residence and spoke with the victim. Deouty Bingiel responded to a residence on Lover Lane which Jasmine Ciera Russell, 22, of Calhoun, was responding to. The deputy was advised by several people she had left on foot. According to the report, The victim was bleeding on the left side of his head with a huge laceration above the left eye. The victim advised Jasmine found a female from a porn sight on his laptop and accused him of cheating on her. The victim stated Jasmine got a rock and assaulted him. She then set fire to his clothes with lighter fluid in the driveway. The victim stated that his clothes costed an estimated $1,800. According to the report, “The victim stated Jasmine then started taking items from the residence to deprive him of his personal belonging. The victim stated Jasmine took his Playstation 4 with his $560.00 controller. The victim stated Jasmine also took a gaming laptop worth $2500.00.” Jasmine then turned herself into the Gordon County Jail. Jasmine stated to deputies that she got into an argument of explicit material being found on the victim’s laptop. Jasmine was charged with theft by taking, aggravated assault under the family violence act, arson in the 2nd degree and criminal damage to property 2nd degree.
