Man arrested for DUI after crashing into ditch on Pine Grove Road in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Wednesday, December 14th, 2022, at 9:54 PM, Deputy Kuzma was dispatched to Pine Grove Road in reference to a single-car crash. Dispatch advised that the caller said that a 2005 gold Cadillac STS was in the ditch, and the driver was possibly driving under the influence. Deputy Kuzma arrived on the scene and saw Timothy Lloyd Fleming, 64, sitting inside the driver seat, which was in the ditch off the roadway and was still running. Deputy Kuzma met with Fleming, who had a big knot on his forehead and was bleeding from his face. According to the report, “While Fleming was searching for his license and talking to Deputy Kuzma, he could smell a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming off Fleming’s breath. Deputy Kuzma asked Fleming how much he had to drink, and he said, “too much”. Fleming said he had approximately two to three beers. While Deputy Kuzma was talking to Fleming, he could see that Fleming’s eyes were red and watery, as well as slurring his speech while he was talking.” Fleming agreed to the state testing of his blood, and warrants were issued. On December 15th, 2022, at 4:00 PM, Fleming turned himself into the Catoosa County Jail and was booked on warrants for DUI and failing to maintain a single lane.
