According to a Summerville Police Department incident report, On Sunday January 5th, 2023, Haley Nicole Nichols, 27, of Summerville was arrested after she allegedly tried to shoplift items from the Dollar General store on Commerce Street. Haley Nicole is accused of skip scanning press-on nails, nail glue and eyeliner. The total value of items Nicholas tried to steal was $8.75 cents. “Haley did offer to go back to the store and pay for the items,” the Summerville officer said in an incident report. She was also given a trespass warning for all the Dollar General stores in Chattooga County. Nichols was booked into the Chattooga County Jail charged with theft by shoplifting.
