Silver Creek woman arrested for DUI after being found passed out behind the wheel in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, On September 14th, 2023, at 4:03 AM, Officer Wright was dispatched to 3070 Cedartown Hwy for a suspicious person. The officer arrived on scene and located a vehicle stationary at the gas pump with a female passed out in the driver seat. Officer Wright reported, “After several attempts to wake the driver up, she finally woke up. [I] noticed mostly empty bottle of wine that was open in the passenger seat. [I] asked the female how much she had to drink and she stated she had not drank anything. The female informed her name Keila Jeanine King, 28, of of Silver Creek. [I] ask Keila how she arrived at the gas station. Keila stated she drove there and never drove that intoxicated before.” During road side evaluations, Keila showed several signs of impairment. Keila was placed under arrest for DUI and showed a BAC of .198 on the state test. Keila was booked into the Floyd County Jail, DUI and open container violation.
