According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, on December 3rd, 2022, at 8:41, Officer Evans was dispatched to Wax Road at Harmony Road in regards to a crash. Officer Evans reported, “When [I] arrived, the witness was standing next to the car talking to Timmon Spencer Vaughn, 56, of Silver Creek, who was driving. When [I] arrived he told me that he had been drinking and he is sorry that this happened. [I] pulled Mr. Vaughn out of the car, and he told me that he had had a lot to drink, and he was drunk. Vaughn was then placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state testing of his blood. Vaughn was transported to the Floyd County Jail, charged with running a stop sign, DUI, and failing to maintain a single lane.
