Rome man kidnapped and raped girl at gunpoint in Rome motel Sunday
Travonte Jayrell Trammell, 24, of 127 Beverly Drive, Rome, GA is facing 25+ criminal charges in connection with the Sunday night assault and two earlier incidents. Trammell is charged with rape; child molestation; aggravated assault x2; third-degree battery; statutory rape x2; two counts of kidnapping a minor; two counts of false imprisonment; cruelty to children in the first degree; armed robbery; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime; possession of more than an ounce of marijuana; intent to distribute marijuana; and felony obstructing law enforcement officers x3. According to an incident report Trammell kidnapped the 15-year-old on Sunday and took her to the Sunrise Inn and Suites at 1610 Martha Berry Highway. During the incident, he threatened her with a loaded gun, raped her, punched her in the face, choked her until she passed out and even held her head under water in a bathtub until she thought she was going to die. According to the incident report back on July 15 Trammell took a 15 year-old girl to his home, where he held her against her will and raped her. He is also accused of throwing away her cell phone and threatening her life when he found her talking to her mother. On November 10, 2018, Trammell beat a woman with a cell phone and his first. The victim also suffered bite marks during the violent attack.
