Parents charged with cruelty to children after 5-year-old brings drugs to Rossville Elementary

On Thursday, January 16, 2020, Commander DeWayne Brown received information from a Walker County Sheriff Office School Resource Deputy that a five year old had brought marijuana to Rossville Elementary and gave it to a school official. It was determined that the juvenile had brought marijuana and a THC oil in a vape pen to school. Agents conducted an investigation at the residence of the juvenile in Rossville, GA. After a search of the residence was completed, Agents located THC oil and THC Edibles packaged for resale along with an amount of marijuana. Department of Family and Children’s Services was called to the scene. Both parents were arrested and DFAC’s case is ongoing.
