Chatsworth man seriously injured in crash in Murray County, facing several charges including DUI
According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Monday, May 12th, 2020, at around 8:00 PM, a 2020 Chevrolet Spark being driven by Joey Gene Hodge, 38 of Will Evans Road Chatsworth, was traveling south on Will Evans Road. Hodge was driving too fast for the conditions of the roadway. Hodge disregarded the safety of himself and other motorists. Hodge failed to maintain his lane and ran off the left side of the roadway. After leaving the roadway, The Spark struck a tree and overturned. The area of impact was approximately 10 feet off the roadway. Hodge was seriously injured in the crash and was transported by LifeForce to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Hodge is facing charges of unregistered vehicle, license to be carried and exhibited on demand, no insurance, too fast for conditions, expired license, DUI-driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, and theft by receiving stolen property.
