Menlo teenager arrested for DUI after causing two-vehicle crash on New Year’s Eve in Chattooga County

According to the Georgia State Patrol Public Information Office, “These results are preliminary as this crash is still under investigation. On New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2022, Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash in Chattooga County. Vehicle #1, being driven by Lindsey Allison Cunningham, 18, of Menlo, failed to stop at the stop sign while traveling south on SR 157 at SR 48. Vehicle #2 was traveling east on SR 48 and struck Vehicle #1 in its right side with its front. Vehicle #2 rotated and overturned before coming to rest on the south shoulder of SR 48 facing northwest. Vehicle #1 ran off the right shoulder of SR 48 and came to rest facing east. Cunningham was charged with DUI, alcohol under 21, and failure to stop at a stop sign.” No one was transported by EMS per GSP
