Dalton man found with meth pipe after shoplifting from Walmart

According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, On April 11th, 2023, at 11:05 AM, Officer Black responded to 815 Shugart Road, Walmart, regarding shoplifting in progress. Officer Black contacted the loss prevention associate, who stated they had a shoplifter at the back of the store and began showing the officer live security footage of the suspect shoplifting and concealing items. The officer had left the loss prevention office and began walking in the front of the store to locate the suspect due to him already concealing multiple items. The officer located the male was identified as Lucky Isaiah Rudolph, 21, and placed him in handcuffs. Officer Black reported, “The suspect understood his rights and stated he would talk about why we were there. Lucky stated he was “Retarded” and had concealed items. [I] located waterweld and metal wire in his front pockets that were taken out of packaging inside the store and concealed in his pockets. Those items totaled $11.62. Lucky also tampered with and damaged packaging for a 1000l flashlight that was valued at $38.97. While also searching Lucky incident to arrest, [I] located a glass smoking pipe in his right front pocket that he advised me of before [I] began my search.” Lucky was then transported to the Whitfield County Jail. Lucky was charged with shoplifting and drug-related objects.
