Chatsworth man fights with Dalton PD officers after trespassing on property he was banned from

According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, On February 11th, 2023, at 12:00 PM, Officers responded to the area in reference to Jesse Allen Peeples, 31, of Chatsworth, trespassing after already being banned from the property. Officer Mullinax located Peeples just up the road on Tibbs Road. Officer Jenkins then went to Officer Mullinax’s location. As he was getting out to assist, Peeples tried to start walking away. Officer Mullinax then tried to stop Peeples by grabbing his arm, but he pulled away and tried to get away. Peeples then began violently resisting arrest, causing both him and Officer Mullinax to go to the ground. Officer Jenkins and Officer Mullinax attempted to arrest Peeples, who was actively resisting by keeping his arms under him and trying to get away. Officers reported that Peeples was bleeding from his head from a small scrape. Peeples was then bent over with his knees under him, and his arms and head were resting on the ground. In this position, he reached and grabbed Officer Mullinax’s radio and began yelling into it. Officers were eventually able to get Peeples into custody. EMS was requested and transported Peeples to be checked at the hospital. Peeples was charged with criminal trespass and felony
