Woman arrested for DUI after failing to maintain a lane on Cloud Springs Road in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On May 12th, 2023, at 3:15 AM, Lt. Cantrell was traveling westbound on Cloud Springs Road behind a 2013 Honda Accord. Lt. Cantrell observed the vehicle driving all over the roadway. Lt. Cantrell then initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Tyler Angelina Martinez, 29. According to the report, “Lt. Cantrell could immediately smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from inside of the vehicle. Lt. Cantrell also observed the driver’s eyes to be bloodshot and watery. Lt. Cantrell could also see that when she moved her eyes from left to right, she showed a lack of smooth pursuit in both eyes. This is common in alcohol consumption. Lt. Cantrell advised Martinez of the reason for the stop and asked her if she had consumed any alcoholic beverages this date, which she stated she had consumed three mixed drinks while at work.” During standardized field sobriety testing, Martinez showed several signs of impairment and a BAC of .131 on a PBT. She was placed under arrest for DUI and refused the state test. Martinez was booked into the Catoosa County Jail and charged with DUI and failing to maintain a single lane.
