Wanted motorcyclist found with meth after obstructing deputy and driving to house in Rossville

According to a Walker County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On June 29th, 2023, at 8:51 PM, Deputy Ferguson was sitting stationary when he observed a white1999 Harley-Davidson Super Glide vehicle pass him without any registration. Deputy Ferguson attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Happy Valley Road, but the driver, later identified as Dallas R. Collins Jr. 51, of 726 Roberta Drive, Rossville, continued rolling and eventually came to a stop at 726 Roberta Drive. As Dallas pulled into the driveway, he dropped the motorcycle, and he tried to walk away quickly, carrying a black string bag. Deputy Ferguson reported, “[I] exited my patrol car and began giving the suspect loud verbal commands to stop. [I] then advised the suspect to drop the bag and lay down on the ground. He was then detained in handcuffs behind his back, which were checked for proper fit and double locked.” Dallas was found to be suspended through Tennessee for DUI and also returned with an arrest warrant out of Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation. Deputy Ferguson then located a meth pipe and meth inside the bag. The vehicle identification number was returned, plate transferred, and valid insurance coverage. The motorcycle was left at the residence with the property owner Brent Anthony Duncan. Dallas was then transported to the Walker County Jail. While en route to the jail, Dallas stated that he had a “baggie of meth” in his sleeve. Dallas was charged with possession of meth, possession and use of drug-related objects, driving while license suspended or revoked, willful obstruction of law enforcement officer, no license plate, and hold for another agency. In 2022 Dallas was arrested on several charges after attempting to flee troopers on Wilson Road on his 1999 Harley-Davidson Super Glide.
