Wanted felon arrested after multi-county high-speed chase with infant and woman Wednesday afternoon

According to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, says undercover investigators spotted Brian Kyle Cook, 32, of LaFayette, at the Walmart in Lafayette Brian Cook had a felony warrant for a probation violation. When deputies approached Cook and he drove away at a high rate of speed in a KIA on Highway 27. Cook turned down North Long Hollow, then onto Dietz Road before going westbound on Battlefield Parkway (GA-2). Cook was eventually arrested in Fort Oglethorpe in the area of Proctor Road. The Walker County Sheriff’s Office said there was a infant and woman inside Cook’s car during the high-speed chase but they were not hurt. Cook was booked into the Walker County Jail on the felony warrant, felony fleeing, other felony and misdemeanor charges in connection to the pursuit.
