Tennessee man arrested for DUI after 911 call from concerned citizen in Dalton

According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, On June 12th, 2023, there was a BOLO given by dispatch in reference to an Audi SUV possibly DUI. The caller advised the vehicle nearly crashed into him and then went off the roadway, nearly taking out mailboxes. The caller advised he was not going to let the DUI driver get away and was now following the driver. The caller then advised that the driver had fallen asleep at a stop sign on Westerly Dr and West Crawford Dr. The vehicle took off and then crashed into the ditch on West Crawford St across from the cemetery. Officer Shope located the vehicle and was flagged down by the caller. Officer Shope made contact with driver Noah Ryan Morrison, 25, of Tennessee, who was still in the vehicle. Morrison advised the officer that he had just spent the weekend in Las Vegas and was just really tired. Morrison then said that he was taking suboxone to treat opioid addiction. Officer Shope reported, “[I] noticed that while Noah was speaking to me, he was shaking uncontrollably. It appeared that he was having a hard time controlling the muscles of his body or that he was freezing cold, but he was also sweating profusely.” During field sobriety tests, Morrison showed several signs of drug impairment. The tests were even stopped for the safety of Morrison, so he did not fall and hurt himself. Morrison was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. Morrison was booked into the Whitfield County Jail and charged with DUI drugs less safe and failure to maintain lane.
