Silver Creek woman arrested for DUI after punching daughter during domestic in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, On June 6th, 2023, at 9:59 PM, Officer Stanfield and Officer Corbin were dispatched to Pine Ridge Dr in Silver Creek in reference to the complainant being punched in the face by her mother, Ida Jean Pendleton, 67, of Silver Creek. The victim advised that Ida was drunk and drove toward Wax Road to go back to the Sport Page located at 1711 Dean Ave, Rome, GA, a local bar. Rome City Police Department was at the Sport Page and located Ida. The victim explained that Ida was at the bar drinking and drove to the residence, and began arguing with her. During the verbal altercation, Ida punched the victim in the face. Officers observed a bruise on the left side of her cheek. Ida informed officers that she had only had four beers before driving to the residence on Pine Ridge Drive. Ida’s breath smelled of alcohol, and she was struggling to maintain her balance. Ida showed several signs of impairment during field sobriety testing. Ida was transported to the Floyd County Police Department, where she showed a BAC of .128. Ida was booked into the Floyd County Jail and charged with battery FVA and DUI.
