Rossville man arrested for DUI after speeding at 96 mph on Highway 27 in Walker County

According to a Georgia State Patrol incident report, On May 26th, 2023, at approximately 2:39 PM, SFC Buckner was patrolling on State Route 1 (Hwy 27) in the area of State Route 151 in Walker County Georgia. SFC Buckner observed a white 2011 Lexus traveling northbound on State Route 1 at high rate of speed. SFC Buckner checked the Lexus at 96 mph in a 45 mph speed zone. SFC Buckner performed a traffic stop and made contact with the driver Daniel Stanislav Livarchuk, 26, of Raossville. According to the report, “While speaking to Mr. Livarchuk SFC Buckner smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Mr. Livarchuk tested positive for alcohol on the alco sensor (.096). Trooper Ballard arrived on scene and assisted with the DUI traffic stop. Trooper Ballard also smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Trooper Ballard questioned him about alcohol consumption and he stated he only had beer prior to driving. During standardized field sobriety testing, Livarchuk showed several signs of impairment. Livarchuk was placed under arrest for DUI driving under the influence and agreed to the state test. Livarchuk was transported to the Walker County Jail charged with speeding, DUI, and driving without a license on person. According to Hamilton County, Tennessee, Jail records, Livarchuk was arrested on June 1st, for DUI and Open container law. According to jail records, Livarchuk has lengthy arrest record.
