Rossville man arrested for DUI after 911 call from concerned citizen

According to a Rossville Police Department incident report, On August 5th, 2023, at 9:30 AM, Officer Galyon located a BOLO vehicle from a 911 call from a gas station clerk reporting a DUI driver at McFarland Ave and Allgood Street. Officer Galyon immediately noticed the right front tire was completely flat. Officer Galyon made contact with the male driver, identified as Randall Eugene Botts, 64, of Rossville, and noticed several signs of impairment. Botts advised the officer he only had a few shots before driving. During standardized field sobriety tests, Botts showed several signs of impairment and a BAC of .137 on the state test. Botts was transported to the Walker County Jail and charged with DUI and failure to maintain a single lane. He was given an OR bond with a court date of October 16th.
