Ringgold woman arrested for DUI after driving all over the roadway in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Thursday, May 17th, 2023, at 12:30 AM, Deputy North was traveling Northbound on Highway 41 when he observed a 2016 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling in front of him, failing to maintain a single lane. The truck made a left turn onto Battlefield Parkway, at which time Deputy North conducted a traffic stop. Deputy North approached the vehicle and made contact with Tisa Linnett Johnson, 52, of Ringgold. According to the report, “Deputy North advised Johnson of the reason for the stop, to which Johnson stated that she wasn’t from here and she was very tired. Deputy North asked Johnson where she was going, to which she stated that she was trying to find a store that sold food for her pet snake. While speaking with Johnson, Deputy North observed her speech to be slow and slurred. Deputy North also observed her eyes to be glassy, and he detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Johnson’s breath. Deputy North asked Johnson how much she had to drink, to which she replied, “nothing”. Deputy North also asked Johnson if she took any medication, to which she replied, “yes, a lot”.” During standardized field sobriety tests, Johnson showed several signs of impairment and showed positive for alcohol on a PBT. Johnson was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. She was booked into the Catoosa County Jail and charged with DUI and failing to maintain a single lane.
