Resaca woman found DUI with two kids after 911 call concerned citizen in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, On February 20th, 2023, Officer Roubieu and Officer George responded to the Dollar General On Highway 53 to reports of an unknown female driver passing out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Officer Roubieu reported, “When we passed highway 53 at Burlington road. Dispatch advised that the woman had left and headed north on highway 53 back towards Gordon county. We then started driving with our blue lights and siren activated to catch up to the vehicle. We drove into Gordon County but were unable to locate the vehicle. We then went back to the Dollar General and spoke to the caller who had a video of a white female with black hair passed out behind the wheel. In the video, you could see the daughter of the unknown female bouncing up and down in the backseat and hear the baby crying for help. The unknown female then appears to wake up and exchange words with the caller, who advises the female that she needs to stay the police have been called. The Unknown female then starts the car and rolls the window up, puts the car in gear, and back out of the parking lot. The caller advised that another gentleman in the parking lot had followed the car. The gentleman reached 90 miles per hour before she turned back around and turned onto Calhoun Road.” Officers were eventually able to locate the vehicle heading back to Highway 53. Officers initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the later identified as Adrian Nicole Timms, 25, of Resaca. Officers observed two children in the back seat. Officers observed Timms appeared to be very impaired. During field sobriety tests, Timms showed several signs of impairment. Timms was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and refused the state test. Timms was then transported to the Floyd County Jail, charged with DUI driving under the influence of drugs, endangering a child by DUI x2, and for no operating tag lights on the vehicle.
