Kentucky man arrested for DUI after crashing on Chatsworth Hwy in Whitfield County

According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office crash report, Billy Ray Bundren, 58, of Scottsville, Kentucky, stated that he was traveling eastbound on Chatsworth Hwy. According to the report, “Bundren said that he went through a puddle of water that made him lose control of the vehicle. Bundren said that he went off of the roadway and hit a power pole. Dalton Utilities arrived on the scene and advised that there was no damage done to the power pole. Bundren did not complain of injuries. Antoinette Gallegos, 42, of Kentucky, did complain of pain in her knee and armpit. EMS arrived on the scene and cleared Gallegos of any injuries. Deputy Dennison did determine that Bundren was impaired, so he was placed under arrest. Bundren’s vehicle was completely disabled. Bundren was booked into the Whitfield County Jail and charged with DUI and failing to maintain a single lane.
