Dalton teen arrested after driving reckless at an extremely high rate of speed on Antioch Road

According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On March 24th, 2023, at 3:37 PM, Deputy Findley was traveling southbound on Antioch Rd near Hitt Dr. According to the report, “Deputy Findley then observed a green Chevy Tahoe traveling northbound get into the center turn lane and pass several vehicles at a high rate of speed. Deputy Findley turned around in the middle of the road and activated his blue lights and sirens, then observed the Tahoe continue to pass additional vehicles using the center turn lane while still traveling at an extremely high rate of speed. Deputy Findley was able to catch up to the Tahoe. The Tahoe then pulled over on Henton Rd just off of Riverbend Rd.” Deputy Findley made contact with the driver, identified as Cesar Banuelos, 17, of Dalton, who immediately stated he was aware of why he was pulled over. Cesar exited the vehicle and was taken into custody and reckless driving. Cesar was transported to the Whitfield County Jail and charged with reckless driving.
