Dalton man violates family violence order and assaults woman during domestic rage in Whitfield County

According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On November 24th, 2022, at 9:22 PM, Deputy Woods and Lt. Rann responded to the area at an address on Keeter Road in reference to a Domestic Dispute. Once Deputies arrived on the scene, they made contact with the man, later to be identified as Lyle Allen Hill, 36, of Dalton. According to the report, “Hill stated he was at a family gathering prior to arriving on the scene earlier this date. Deputies observed broken glass on the ground from a vehicle parked out front. Lt. Rann then asked Mr. Hill if he done the damage to the vehicle. Mr. Hill stated he in fact, did. The victim and the reporting party then arrived back on the scene after leaving the residence due to Mr. Hill’s behavior. Deputy Woods and Lt. Rann then made entry into the house. Deputies observed the front door’s window busted out and the kitchen window also busted out, and miscellaneous items were thrown around the residence.” The victim stated that Hill came back from a family gathering intoxicated and started causing a scene. The victim stated that Hill flipped the dinner table over and started breaking windows using his bare hands. The victim stated while she was trying to contact the Whitfield County Telecommunication Center, Hill kicked the bathroom door completely off the hinges. Whitfield County Telecommunication advised Lt. Rann that Mr. Hill had Special Bond Conditions to stay away from the victim. The victim stated that Hill assaulted her and made contact with her face causing visible injury. According to the report, “While Deputy Woods was transporting Mr. Hill to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Hill continued to smack his head against the patrol car’s window causing damage to the top of his head.” Hill was booked into the Whitfield County Jail, charged with violating family violence order, battery (FV), criminal damage to property in the second degree, and simple assault.
