Dalton man arrested for DUI after driving slow and weaving all over the roadway

According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, On September 16th, 2023, at 11:23 PM, while Officer Warren was patrolling MLK Jr. Blvd he observed a gray Ford Fusion slowly weaving all over the roadway. Officer Warren conducted a traffic stop and made contact with Raymond Watson, 60, of Dalton. Officer Warren reported, “[I] detected the odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person and observed that Watson had urinated on himself. [I] further observed that Watson’s eyes were bloodshot and glazed and that Watson’s speech was heavily slurred. [I] then asked Watson how much he had had to drink. Watson stated that he only had a couple of beers at his house while watching football. He further claimed that he had left his house to get food and was returning home to continue watching football. During field sobriety testing, Watson showed several signs of impairment and a BAC of .176 on a PBT. Watson was placed under arrest for DUI and refused the state test. Watson was booked into the Whitfield County Jail and charged with DUI and failure to maintain a single lane.
