Uninsured and unlicensed DUI driver injured after crash in Walker County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, On December 10th, 2022, at 12:55 PM, a 2009 Honda Element being driven by Stefanie Rae Ellis, 35, of Rossville, was traveling east on North Long Hollow Road. According to the crash report, “Ellis failed to maintain her lane of travel and exited the south shoulder. The Honda struck the mailbox and driveway culvert with its front. The Honda struck another mailbox and began to rotate clockwise. The Honda overturned in the ditch on the south shoulder of North Long Hollow Road.” Ellis suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Erlanger main in Chattanooga. Trooper Capehart conducted the crash investigation and determined Ellis was under the influence at the time of the crash. Ellis was charged with driving with no insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to maintain a single lane, DUI, and driving while license suspended.
