Woman arrested for DUI after driving erratically on Battlefield Parkway in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On March 30th, 2023, Corporal Lewis was requested by Deputy Davis and Deputy Gant to assist with a DUI traffic stop. Deputy Gant stopped the 2023 Hyundai after he observed the vehicle exit Interstate 75 southbound at exit 350. As the vehicle turned westbound on GA-2, Deputy Gant could hear metal dragging and observed sparks emitting from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle appeared to be driving erratically. When being stopped, the driver, identified as Alison Nicole Henry, 37, immediately exited the vehicle once she was stopped. Deputy Gant reported, “While speaking with Alison [I] could hear slurring in her speech and could smell the odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Alison” Corporal Lewis made contact with Alison and asked if she had consumed any alcoholic beverages. Alison stated that she only had two or three alcoholic beverages while eating dinner. During field sobriety tests, Alison showed several signs of impairment and refused a PBT. Alison was placed under arrest for DUI and refused the state test. Corporal Lewis began to do an inventory of the vehicle, where he found three open containers of alcoholic beverages in the front passenger compartment of the vehicle, with one of the open containers still cold to the touch. Alison was transported to the Catoosa County Jail and charged with DUI and open container violation.
