Wanted fugitive arrested after robbing bank in Chickamauga Tuesday afternoon

According to the Chickamauga Police Department, On September 26th at around 3:30 P.M. a male subject later identified as Ric Thomason, 49, entered the Cadence Bank located on US Hwy 27 in the city limits of Chickamauga. Thomason handed the bank tellers a note demanding money. The bank tellers complied with the demand. Thomason left the scene. Chickamauga police were called to the scene where a BOLO was issued for Thomason his vehicle. A little time later, Catoosa County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted a male subject and vehicle matching the BOLO on Cloud Springs Road. After detaining the subject it was determined that this was Thomason who was involved in the bank robbery in Chickamauga. Thomason was also found to be a wanted fugitive wanted by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force for felony warrants. Thomason taken into custody without incident by Chickamauga Officers and was transported to Walker County Jail. Thomason was charged with felony terroristic threats and robbery.
