Unlicensed drunk driver arrested after driving reckless and nearly crashing head-on into Whitfield deputy

According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On July 4th, 2023, at 9:42 PM, Deputy Cobb was traveling north on Antioch Road when he observed a Chevy Silverado entering the turning lane at a high rate of speed and then pass another vehicle. As the vehicle was passing in the turning lane, it almost caused a serious head-on crash with Deputy Cobb’s patrol vehicle. Deputy Cobb then initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Robert Woissiup Cesspooch Jr., of Dalton. According to the report, “Deputy Cobb then detained Mr. Cesspooch. Deputy Cobb began to smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Deputy Cobb read Mr. Cesspooch his Miranda Warning. After Deputy Cobb read Mr. Cesspooch his Miranda Warning, he stated he had not had anything to drink. He just put beer on the food he was grilling.” During Field Sobriety Tests, Cesspooch showed several signs of impairment. Cesspooch was booked into the Whitfield County Jail, where he showed a BAC of .09 on the state test. Ceespooch was charged with. DUI, driving without a valid license, reckless driving, and overtaking and passing.
