Tunnel Hill woman arrested after brief vehicle pursuit with Whitfield County deputy

According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On January 27th, 2023, at 8:43 PM, Deputy Sharpe was sitting in Andy’s Conner parking lot on Cottonwood Mill Road when he observed a black 1999 Chevrolet Camaro with a Tennessee tag. The vehicle windshield was busted in multiple directions by more than three inches. Deputy Sharpe attempted to conduct a traffic stop. But the driver, later identified as Calesta Jo Manasco, 37, of Tunnel Hill, fled down Cottonwood Mill Road. Manasco then turned left onto Townsend Lane. Manasco then pulled into 957 Townsend Lane, where he and his passenger. Holly McClure, 38, were both taken at gunpoint. Officer Roberts from Tunnel Hill Police arrived a short time later and assisted with taking both into custody. Manasco’s licenses were suspended for failure to appear. McClure showed to have a felony warrant out of Rhea County, Tennessee. The tag showed the vehicle did not have valid insurance. Manasco was transported to the Whitfield County Jail and charged with windshield, fleeing or attempting to elude, reckless driving, driving while suspended, and insurance requirements.
