Three teen brothers arrested after shoplifting from Walmart in Dalton

According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, On April 23rd, 2023, at 3:50 PM, Officer Miller was dispatched to 815 Shugart Road in reference to a shoplifting in progress. The officer was advised by the loss prevention associate three young Hispanic males, later identified as brothers and as Jose Pablo-Iquic, 18, Henry Pablo-Iquic, 17, and a juvenile who, were currently in the store opening packages and concealing merchandise on themselves. The associate showed video footage where Jose opened a package of automobile headlight bulbs and then gave them to Henry to conceal on his person to shoplift. Officers continued to watch the three brothers walk around the store and later observed him take a bag of lifesaver gummy candy from the store shelf and walk to a different aisle and stick the bag under his hoodie inside the waistband of his pants. After a few moments, the three brothers left all points of sale and attempted to exit the store. Officers stopped them as they attempted to walk past the loss prevention office and escorted them inside the office. Officers recovered the four items that the brothers had stolen, totaling $139.39. Jose and Henry were transported to the Whitfield County Jail, charged with theft by shoplifting misdemeanor.
