Tennessee man arrested after driving reckless at 115 mph with toddler on I-75 in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, at 7:52 AM, Deputy Swan witnessed a black 2023 Dodge Charger in the inside lane of Interstate 75, traveling at a high rate of speed at 115 MPH passing exit 348 southbound. Deputy Swan reset the laser locking the vehicle at 105 mph. According to the report, “Deputy Swan entered the highway at the 348 exits traveling south and followed the vehicle for 3 miles. During the time in which Deputy Swan was attempting to catch up, Deputy Swan observed the vehicle changing lanes without using a directional and changing multiple lanes at times. Deputy Swan was able to get in behind the suspect vehicle in the center lane prior to the 345 exit south. The vehicle proceeded to pull to the right shoulder, just past the overpass for exit 345. Deputy Swan made contact with the driver, identified as Edward Davis, 25, of Tennessee, and observed a toddler in the rear passenger seat in a booster seat. Deputy Swan confirmed the age of the male toddler as three years old in the rear passenger seat. Davis was booked into the Catoosa County Jail, charged with reckless driving, reckless conduct, and failing to maintain a single lane.
