Rydal woman arrested for DUI after single-vehicle crash in Gordon County

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Saturday, February 26th, 2023, at 1:02 AM, Deputy Giorgione responded to Sugar Valley Road at Hall Memorial Road in reference to a single-vehicle crash with injuries. Deputies made contact with the driver Christina Faith Wibel, 22, of Rydal. Deputy Giorgione asked her if she was okay, to which she responded by saying, “unfortunately”. EMS arrived on the scene and began providing Christina with medical attention. Deputies on the scene detected on strong odor of alcohol from Christina. Deputy Jinright asked Christina how much she had had to drink at tonight, and she replied by saying, “Not enough”. Christina refused the state testing of her blood. Deputies observed tire marks off the roadway from where she had failed to maintain the lane and traveled off the roadway while heading southbound. Christina then struck a tree with her vehicle. Deputy Giorgione took warrants out for Christina for DUI, failure to maintain lane, and violation of conditions for driving with a limited permit. On March 15th, 2023, Christina was arrested and booked into the Gordon County Jail.
