Rome women arrested after forcing 7-year-old girl to take drugs in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department, On August 7th, 2023, Officer Roubieu spoke to a complainant over the phone. The caller was worried about a 7-year-old girl that stated her mother a Nicole Lucile Rinker, 35, of Rome, had forced her to smoke weed. Officer Roubieu made contact with NicoleRinkerat 11 Tency Lane. Officer Roubieu reported, “While talking to Mrs. Rinker [I] noticed that she has a bumpy face, trouble maintaining her balance, and her speech was slurred, all signs that point to drug use. When we exited the house, [I] advised Mrs. Rinker the reason why [I] was there to check on KR. Mrs. Rinker became extremely defensive and stated that she was a good momma. She stated that her daughter found her THC vape pen and was curious about it and took a hit of it. She stated that her dad was just out to get her and to take her away from her.” The victim stated that her mother also forced her to take CBD gummies as well. Investigators also listened to an audio recording from a phone call where Nicole says she would give her daughter marijuana if she wanted to. Medical staff reported that the child had been placed under excessive mental and physical stress due to the actions of Rinker and Racquel Price, 36, of Rome, who was also inside the home during the incident. On August 8th, at 3:57 PM, a search warrant was executed at 11 Tency Ln. During the search warrant, officers and Investigators located a large amount of meth and crushed pills in a plastic baggie. Both Rinker and Pricere were arrested and booked into the Floyd County Jail, charged with possession of methamphetamine, drugs not in their original container, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, reckless conduct, and 1st degree cruelty to children.
