Rome teen found with fake ID, marijuana, and stolen gun after crashing vehicle in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, On April 19th, 2023, at 8:15 PM, Officer Roubieu responded to the area of 4002 Cave Spring Hwy for a vehicle that crashed in the ditch. Before the officer arrived on the scene, dispatch advised that the occupants of the vehicle had exited and proceeded to run up the driveway to an abandoned House. Officer Roubieu then went around the gate, blocking the driveway, and made my way to the abandoned house. Officer Roubieu cleared the house and announced himself as a police officer with the Floyd County Police Department. Officer Roubieu then located Ramiro Pineda-Uriostigue, 19, of Rome, and a 16-year-old. The two stated that they had come onto the property to take pictures and to smoke marijuana. While searching the crashed car, officers located a Glock 19x lying on the top of the glove box and found marijuana. Investigator Ribot confirmed that the pistol found was, in fact, stolen. Ramiro was also found with a fake Ga driver’s license as well as a driver’s license belonging to the victim. Ramiro was then transported to the Floyd County Jail, charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of false identification, theft of lost or mislaid property, and possession of marijuana.
