According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, on January 20th, 2023, at 1:56 AM, Officer Overstreet responded to 2653 Callier Springs Road with Officer Surrett in reference to two suspicious vehicles parked on the lot. When officers approached the truck, they located two naked people, quickly attempting to cover up. Officer Overstreet reported, “[I] noticed the driver, Noah Christian Booker Engle, 22, of Rome, from a previous call [I] answered on the other side of town. (On that call, he advised he had been drinking with his three other friends.) [I] asked him why he was driving if he’s been drinking. He stated to me that [I] was just driving this way.” [I] reiterated that he has been drinking. Noah stated, “Not enough to”.” During field sobriety testing, Noah showed several signs of impairment. Noah was then placed under arrest for DUI driving under the influence of alcohol and agreed to the state test. The female passenger was released and allowed to go home. Noah was then transported to the police department, where he showed a BAC of .120. Noah was booked into the Floyd County Jail and charged with DUI and driving without insurance.
