Woman facing DUI charges after slamming into rear of vehicle on Highway 114 injuring all occupants

Woman facing DUI charges after slamming into the rear of vehicle injuring all occupants on Highway 114. The crash happened last Tuesday on Highway 114 at Pine Hill Drive near Chattooga County. According to a preliminary report from the Georgia State Patrol, a Nissan Altima was traveling north toward Summerville and was turning left onto Pine Hill drive from the north left lane. A 2006 Ford Fusion also traveling northbound slammed into the rear of stopped Altima. The impact sent the Altima up an embankment into a pole and back down into the roadway facing southbound in the South left lane. The Fusion showed no signs of braking before the impact. All occupants inside the Altima was injured and transported by Redmond EMS to a local hospital in Rome. The driver of the Fusion was also transported by Redmond EMS to a local hospital. According to a Trooper the driver is facing several charges including DUI, driving on revoked and other traffic charges.
