Whitfield County deputy facing multiple charges including aggravated assault in Catoosa County

The Fort Oglethorpe Police Department released a press release advising they have issued three arrest warrants against a Whitfield County Sheriff's deputy following incident involving his 9-year-old son Sunday April 21st. Whitfield County Sheriff Deputy Tracy Dale Davis and his children along with their mother met Sunday afternoon in a parking lot in Fort Oglethorpe at 526 Battlefield Parkway. Davis reportedly became very angry when one of his children refused to go home with him. Davis, his children and their mother. The press release said Davis allegedly hit the boy multiple times, choked him and even threw him. The children's mother along with multiple shoppers witnessed the attack. Davis faces charges of aggravated assault FVA and two counts of cruelty to children. Davis turned himself into the Catoosa County Jail Thursday.
