Warrants issued for Summerville man after sexual assault recorded on cellphone

Chattooga County Magistrate Judge Tracy Maddux has confirmed that warrants have been issued for 38-year-old Michael Shedd of Summerville. Shedd is accused of assaulting a man on March 31st of this year. Summerville Police reports say that Shedd knew the victim and that the assault happened while the victim was passed out from being intoxicated at a Marvin Avenue address. When victim awoke he realized that he had been assaulted and reported the incident to the Summerville police. The current warrants issued for Shedd include aggravated sodomy, sexual battery, sex exploitation of a child, and unlawful surveillance of a sex act. Micheal Shedd was arrested Friday night by LaFayette Police Department on warrants out of Chattooga County. Shedd is currently being held in the Chattooga County Jail after being turned over to Deputies at the county line.
