Wanted Catersville man arrested after leading Georgia State Patrol on chase
Mark Anthony Rosas of a Cartersville address was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol early Saturday after leading a trooper on a pursuit. the pursuit started shortly after midnight when a Georgia State Patrol Trooper attempted to stop a vehicle with temporary tags on Cassville White Road. The vehicle failed to stop and instead took off. The vehicle went down multiple roads before crashing on Highway 41 near Fire Tower Raoad. The driver Rosas was arrested following a brief foot chase. Rosas was found to have warrants and being charged with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer/ felony, tampering with evidence-misdemeanor, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers-misdemeanor, hit and run; duty of driver to stop or return to scene of accident, reckless driving seat belts violation (adults), DUI-driving under the influence of drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked - 1st offense, improper passing in no passing zone (x2), improper lane change/failure to maintain lane (x5), failure to obey stop sign or yield after stopping (X5), failure to obey stop sign or yield after stopping, criminal trespass-damage to property (private), cruelty to children allow to witness felony/battery/family violence, and battery- family violence (1st offense).
