Two people injured in single-vehicle crash last week in Chattooga County
According to the Georgia State Patrol on Friday April 19th around 11:30 A.M. Luke Whitehill of Trion was traveling east on Rocky Hollow Road in his 2004 Ford Escape. While negotiating a curve to the right, Whitehill was traveling too fast for conditions and lost control. The Ford Escape traveled across the centerline, leaving the roadway off the north shoulder. The Ford Escape then struck an embankment with the left front and side, continuing east in the north ditch. The Ford Escape then overturned onto its right side, coming to rest upright in the westbound lane of Rocky Hollow Road, facing west. The driver Luke Whitehill and a passenger Jaden Mitchell suffered minor injures in the crash they were transported to Redmond Medical Center in Rome by personal vehicle. Whitehill was issued one citation for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
