Two people injured in crash last Wednesday night in Chickamauga, Chattanooga woman cited

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report on Wednesday, July 17th around 10:22 P.M. a 2017 Nissan Rogue being driven by Kelley Lively, 46 of a Chattanooga TN address was traveling north on Georgia 1 (Highway 27) near Cross Street entering into Chickamauga. A 2006 Ford Five Hundred being driven by Robert Dunn, 60 of a LaFayette address was traveling south on Georgia 1 near Cross Street. The driver of the Rogue failed to maintain her lane and crossed over the center line into the northbound lane. The Rouge struck the Ford in the side with its front. The area of impact was on the roadway. After impact, the Rogue rolled clockwise onto its top and slid off the west side of the roadway coming to an uncontrolled rest. The Ford rotated counter-clockwise and left the west side of the roadway coming to an uncontrolled rest off the roadway. The area of impact was determined by vehicle and roadway evidence and driver and witness statements. The driver of Rogue first told the investigating trooper that she thought she had been rear-ended. Trooper Whitfield advised her that there was no rear-end damage or evidence to confirm her statement that she had been rear-ended. She then stated to Trooper Whitfield that she did not know what happened. The driver of the Ford stated that Rogue crossed over into his lane. He stated he tried to avoid the collision but was struck on the side. A Witness to the crash also told the trooper that she observed the Rogue cross over the center line and struck the Ford. Both drivers were injured in the crash and transported by Puckett EMS to an area hospital. The driver of the Rogue, Lively was cited by GSP for failure to single maintain lane.
