Two arrested after getaway vehicle runs out of gas during shoplifting at Fred's in Chickamauga

Two people were arrested Sunday afternoon after their getaway vehicle failed to start while shoplifting from the Fred's in Chickamauga. According to the manager, a female pushed a cart with $112.46 worth of merchandise out the door into the parking lot where a blue Ford Explorer was waiting on her. The Explorer failed to crank and would not start due to it being out of gas. The manager was on the phone relaying the information to a Walker County E911 dispatcher. Chickamauga PD Officer Kelley arrived shortly after arresting both the female passenger and the male driver. The driver Dale Wesley Hullender, 61 of Ringgold, is being charged with no insurance and knowingly driving on a suspended registration. The passenger Elizabeth Nicole Tucker, 38 of Rock Springs is being charged with theft by shoplifting.
