Trion woman injured and cited following head-on crash early Sunday morning in Trion
Trion woman injured and facing multiple charges following crash early Sunday morning in Trion. According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, just after 3:00 A.M Ann Cummings Fowler, 64 of Seventh Street in Trion was traveling eastbound on Allgood Street in a black, 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. A blue 2007 GMC Envoy being driven by Polly Ellen Kerr, 35 of NW Congress Street in Summerville. was traveling Westbound. Fowler crossed the center line going into the westbound lane crashing head-on into Kerr. Fowler had to be extracted from the Pontiac and was taken to Floyd Medical Center by Redmond EMS with non life threatening injuries. The other driver Kerr suffered very minor injuries but was not transported. Fowler was issued several citations including seat belt violation, failure to maintain a single lane, and insurance requirements.
