Trion man facing several charges including DUI after crash on Halls Valley Road Saturday night
According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Saturday, April 4th, 2020, at around 9:55 PM a 2006 Lexus RX330 being driven by Eaten Coley, 20 of Trion who was impaired was south on Halls Valley Road near the county line negotiating a curve to the left. The Lexus ran off of the right shoulder of the roadway, striking the ditch with its front. The Lexus continued south in the ditch then began to rotate clockwise. As the Lexus began to rotate, it flipped over onto its top, coming to an uncontrolled final rest. The area of impact was off of the roadway and was determined by the final rest of the vehicle. Coley stated to the investigating trooper that a deer ran out in front of him. Coley was charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane, seatbelt, and too fast for conditions.
